The bespoke tailoring process begins with an initial consultation, during which your preferences will be discussed, including historical persona, fabric choice, style, and finish. This lays the foundation for the entire commissions process.

Historical garments often require precise fitting to look correct. We take a comprehensive set of measurements taking into account your posture and body quirks. These may vary depending upon the desired time period.

 

Fabrics

We source a wide variety of historically accurate linens, wools and silks. Your preferences, the occasion, the season, and your personal style will all factor into the fabric we suggest for you.

Patterns

After gathering all the information during our meeting, we then develop an individual pattern to ensure the best possible fit on this and all future garments. This is where bespoke makes all the difference as this process makes each bespoke garment truly individual and unique.

Constructing

Every product undergoes meticulous craftsmanship, with each item individually handmade using carefully selected historically accurate methods . Our fastenings and trimmings are reconstructed ensuring they closely resemble the originals. We pride ourselves in our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and authenticity.
